The USTA Southwest Slam Series Grass Court Championships are held at the beautiful Desert Highlands in Scottsdale for intermediate and advanced players with the divisions of Men’s and Women’s Singles, Men’s and Women’s Doubles and Men’s and Women’s Mixed Doubles.

The National Winter Boys & Girls Championships are held at the Kiwanis Recreation Center and include Boys’ & Girls’ Singles and Boys’ & Girls’ Doubles. These tournaments sanctioned by the USTA (United States Tennis Association) are for kids and adults.

Scottsdale is also the home of professional tennis tournaments including the Copperwynd Pro Women’s Challenge which is part of the ITF (Internatonal Tennis Federation). The ITF Women’s Circuit provides entry level tournaments that enable players to ultimately reach the WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) tour.

The local parks are a great place to practice your serve. The Scottsdale Parks and Recreation Department manages over 35 parks with state of the art facilities and amenities that include a variety of tennis courts for the community to enjoy. The tennis centers at Ranch Park and Indian School Park are outstanding with a total of 31 lighted tennis courts available for the public.
