Hello my name is Brandon and I am a local Sunnyvale tennis coach! As a licensed physical therapist who went through CSU Northridge’s rigorous Doctorate of Physical Therapy program, I have worked hard to become an expert in the analysis of human movement. This also includes extensive research in the biomechanical analysis of tennis strokes. I have been able to apply this knowledge to develop a very systematic approach to teaching people how to play tennis in a fun and easy way. My adult clients appreciate the constant feedback to improving their tennis game and kids love the high energy and fun that I bring while making sure they’re learning correct form on court!
From a very young age, I got lessons from my father, a certified pro instructor. I went on to play on my high school’s varsity tennis team for four years and also played on UC Santa Barbara’s traveling club tennis team for my last 3 years of college. I now have over 15 years of competitive playing experience with a current 5.0 NTRP rating.
I am a RSPA Certified Tennis Professional and I have over 9 years of professional experience. This includes 2 years of running specialized clinics for youth and adults at a Bay Area tennis academy and seven+ years of running my own tennis lessons business. I have experience teaching tennis players ranging in age from toddlers to adult seniors and ranging in skill level from beginners to advanced abilities. So, I am confident in my ability to teach players of all ages and all abilities. In addition to teaching tennis, I also teach pickleball locally as well.
