Hello my name is Jarod and I am local Scottsdale tennis coach with over 10 years of playing experience and over 6 years of teaching experience! I am also a PTR Certified Tennis Professional. I am originally from northern New Jersey and have been in the Phoenix area since 2020. I started playing tennis when I was only 4 years old, but took a break when I was about 8 years old. Since I was 13, I have spent most of my time on a tennis court either playing or teaching. When I was 14 years old, I started volunteering at the junior camp at my home club back in New Jersey. As time went on, I became the assistant pro there and during my time as assistant pro, I ran several popular classes that ranged from junior academy to adult classes. I also taught various clients at the club in private/semi-private lessons.
I have played for two different NAIA college teams since 2020. At my previous school OUAZ, our head coach was a former D1 coach. With all of my students throughout my coaching career, I have strived to provide fun and intense lessons. All of my students from 3 years old to 80+ have been able to improve their skills once they have taken tennis lessons from me. I use all of my experiences as a former NAIA college player and my coaching career to give my tennis students the best possible experience when working with them on the court. I teach tennis lessons in the Scottsdale and Phoenix area but I will also travel up to 35 miles to a tennis court that is located near you!
