Hello my name is Luke and I am a local Acworth tennis coach with over 24 years of playing experience and over 15 years of teaching experience! I am also a PTR Certified Tennis Professional. I grew up playing junior tennis on the national level and at age 17, I finished the year ranked top 5 in the state of Georgia and top 20 in the South. I was a nationally ranked junior and played matches against such ATP professionals as Robbie Ginepri (former #59 ranked player in the world) as well as John Isner (current #29 ranked player in the world).
My competitive playing career ended when I was just eighteen years old due to a severe torn rotator cuff injury in my right shoulder which prevented me from playing collegiate level tennis & then joining the ATP Tour. The injury turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I discovered my passion for coaching. I have experience with children, beginners, competitive junior development groups and camps, home schooled athletes, ALTA groups, USTA leagues, senior leagues, high school teams, college teams, doubles partners, touring professionals and being a hitting/warm-up partner and traveling tournament coach. I mainly teach tennis lessons in the Acworth, Marietta, East Cobb and West Cobb areas but I will travel up to 10 miles to a court near you!
