The Marietta Parks and Recreation Department does a remarkable job maintaining the city parks including the beautiful Laurel Park with 25 acres to explore and multiple tennis courts to enjoy. It’s easy to stay active with 13 lighted outdoor tennis courts to choose from and a full tennis center as well. Practice your forehand or improve your serve in the park while enjoying the great outdoors. Playing tennis is a growing sport in the Laurel Park neighborhood. Residents have found that it’s a great way to get some exercise and meet new people. The great game of tennis is a smashing success in Marietta, with a total over 100 tennis courts throughout the city.

Marietta is home to one of the busiest tennis centers in the Atlanta area hosting numerous tournaments throughout the year including both state and national championships. The award-winning Harrison Tennis Center is the largest public facility in the county featuring 16 lighted tennis courts and six mini courts. As the home of several United States Tennis Association sanctioned tennis events for all ages, this tennis center is extremely busy all throughout the year. There are many junior tennis tournaments including the Atlanta Bowl Junior Championships for the intermediate level players and the Harrison Junior Summer Championships for the advanced level tennis players.
