Hello my name is Catherine and I am a fun, local Sacramento tennis coach with over 16 years of playing experience and over 5 years of teaching experience! Tennis has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Houston, Texas, I developed a passion for the sport at a young age and went on to compete at the very highest levels of junior tennis. Through years of hard work and dedication, I earned a four-star recruiting ranking, achieved a career-high national ranking of No. 39, reached No. 11 in Texas, and earned an ITF Junior Ranking as high as No. 418. I currently compete as the No. 1 player for my school and have helped lead our team to three consecutive conference championships. During that time, I was also honored to receive the MVP award in back-to-back tennis seasons.
These experiences have strengthened my leadership skills, mental toughness, and my understanding of what it takes to succeed both individually and also as part of a team. I now compete as a Division I student-athlete at Sacramento State, where I continue to challenge myself against high-level competition and expand my knowledge of the game. My experiences as a nationally ranked junior player and collegiate athlete have given me a strong foundation that I enjoy sharing with others. As a tennis coach, I’m passionate about helping players build confidence, improve their technique, and develop a genuine love for tennis. I strive to create a positive and supportive environment while helping each athlete reach their full potential.
Whether I am working with beginners learning the fundamentals or competitive players looking to elevate their game, I tailor each lesson to the individual’s goals and needs. Tennis has given me incredible opportunities, and I am excited to help the next generation of tennis players grow both on and off the court.
