About Norwalk Tennis Coach Juan

Hello my name is Juan and I am a local Norwalk tennis coach with over 25 years of playing experience and over 25 years of teaching experience! I am also an ITF Certified Tennis Professional (Level 1). Tennis has been a central part of my life for many years, shaping not only my athletic ability but also my discipline, determination and passion for teaching the sport. Over the course of my coaching career, I have had the privilege of teaching in a variety of settings that have strengthened my skills as both an instructor and mentor.

I have worked in tennis clubs, including private facilities where I provided one-on-one training, group lessons, and specialized clinics for juniors and adults. My experience in schools has allowed me to introduce tennis to younger players, designing age-appropriate programs that focus on fundamentals, teamwork, and confidence-building. Additionally, I have coached at public parks and community recreation centers, creating accessible programs for players of all ages and backgrounds. Most recently, from 2024–2025, I have been actively coaching tennis in the nearby cities of New Canaan, Wilton, Norwalk, Stamford as well as over in New York, helping to grow the tennis community across both club and recreational environments.

These diverse teaching locations have given me the opportunity to work with players at different skill levels, from complete beginners discovering the game of tennis to competitive athletes preparing for tournaments. By adapting to the needs of each environment-whether in a structured club setting, a school program, or an open community park-I have developed a versatile coaching style that emphasizes technical growth, discipline, and a genuine love for this great sport. I teach tennis lessons in the Norwalk area but I will also travel up to 20 miles to a tennis court that is conveniently located close to you!
