Hi my name is Shane and I am a local Lancaster tennis coach with over 10 years of playing experience and over 4 years of teaching experience! I am currently the Head Coach of the Manheim Township Boys Tennis Team. In addition to leading one of the top high school programs in the area, I bring high-level experience from the college game. As a former college coach at Penn State Harrisburg, I played a key role in building championship-level programs, helping lead both the men’s and women’s teams to 4 NCAA Tournament appearances & 4 conference championships across the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
My coaching philosophy is results-driven and player-focused, built around intentional practice design, match strategy as well as high-performance training. Whether you are just a beginner learning the fundamentals or a competitive player working toward varsity, district, or collegiate goals, I tailor each session to maximize improvement, confidence, and on-court execution. My background also includes coaching both boys’ and girls’ high school tennis at Red Land, along with competing as a varsity player at Manheim Township. I remain actively involved in the local tennis community through the USTA Central Pennsylvania District Council and the Racquets Committee at Bent Creek Country Club, where I help grow the game at the junior level. I teach tennis lessons in the Lancaster area but I will also travel up to 30 miles to a tennis court that is conveniently located close to you!
