About Christopher

Hello my name is Christopher and I am a Houston tennis coach with over 4 years of teaching experience! I am also a USTA (United States Tennis Association) member. Recreational tennis provided the very basics for on-court play prior to joining the USTA. I then fortunately discovered a major upgrade from recreational tennis play when I joined tournament and competitive tennis. Participating in the USTA tournaments is a grooming process which continues to teach me a new discipline that is parallel to life itself. You can only improve on something by dedicating yourself to it. Currently I’m rated as a Men’s 4.5 and participate mainly in the Men’s Open division and Men’s 30s division in the USTA Texas Section. I am enthusiastic to help others work on their tennis game using the continuing insight and intricate understanding of the essential requirements that the game demands from either a beginner or a recreational player. I also understand how to advance into a serious competitor if you are a more serious player.

I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). I teach tennis lessons in Houston at Mayde Creek High School but I will travel up to 20 miles to a court located near you.

Please contact me through my coach page and then I will contact you back within 24 hours to introduce myself, answer any questions and if you are interested, we’ll set-up your first tennis lesson or hitting session at a time and place that is convenient for you. I look forward to hearing from you and I look forward to the opportunity to be your Houston tennis coach. See you on the court!

"My 4 year old twins & their friend (who's also 4) have been taking tennis lessons with Christopher for 9 months now. I can't say enough good things about him. I am so thankful that we got lucky with him! He is extremely patient, fun, dependable and punctual. His knowledge of the sport and the proper way to teach the game is apparent. Our children have learned so much from him and so have the parents! He takes the time to teach us at the end of their session so that we are able to practice outside of their weekly lessons. We all truly look forward to seeing him and always have so much fun during our lessons! I wasn't sure my kids would continue to love the game and he has made it so that they do! Kids can be so hard to keep focused but Christopher really knows how to keep them engaged. He is always in tune with their attitude and knows when to push and when to give them a break. He has become a friend and I can not recommend him enough!"

"I met Christopher about 4 years ago. Since then he has been engaged in the professional tennis development of both my daughters. One of them went on to achieve Top 10 in G12 in the state. She has since transferred to a full-time tennis academy and currently plays various junior ITF tournaments. Christopher has an excellent understanding of the basic techniques and fundamental skills needed in developing a tennis player. His dedication to the sport is genuine. His personality is honest and truthful. In addition, he is also an excellent tennis player who is very active in local tournaments!"

"Christopher was awesome! He spotted my weak points very quickly and gave me adjustments to fix them, with immediate results. He has a very positive mindset, always emphasizing how you can improve and turn a negative into a positive. My goal was to get back into the game and he was very encouraging. I'm very pleased with the lesson and highly recommend Christopher as a tennis coach!"

"I have been doing hitting sessions with Christopher for the past several months. I hadn't played in several years and he has helped me get my game back into shape. He's a great player and coach and I will likely continue our weekly sessions for some time to come!"
