About Davie Tennis Coach Camilla

Hello my name is Camilla and I am a local Davie tennis coach with over 13 years of playing experience and over 3 years of teaching experience! I am also USTA (United States Tennis Association) Certified Tennis Coach. I completed the ITA Rising Coaches Course and I’m also planning to get my PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) coaching certification. I am currently the assistant coach for the women’s tennis team at Nova Southeastern University located in Davie where I work with collegiate athletes to develop their technical skills, mental toughness, and match strategies. My coaching role allows me to combine my extensive playing experience with my passion for teaching and mentoring players of all levels. I have been playing tennis for over 13 years, starting in my home country of Italy, where I learned the game from my father, who instilled in me a deep love and respect for the sport. My tennis journey has taken me all across the globe. I competed for three years in Spain and gained valuable international experience and refined my game against top-level players before moving to the United States to play collegiate tennis. I spent two years in Florida, where my team won the national championship, followed by two years at Delaware State University, where we finished 2nd at the MEAC Championship as a tennis team.

As a coach, I specialize in tailoring lessons to each player’s needs, whether they are beginners building fundamentals or advanced competitors looking to sharpen their performance. I really focus on technique, tactical understanding, fitness and mental resilience, ensuring each session is both productive & enjoyable. My coaching approach blends high-level competitive experience with patience, clear communication and a supportive teaching style to help players reach their full potential while fostering a lifelong love for the game! I teach tennis lessons in the Davie area and do not travel at this time.
