*I DON’T TRAVEL & ONLY TEACH TENNIS LESSONS IN ARLINGTON*
Hello my name is Sonny and I’m an Arlington tennis coach! I have been teaching tennis as a hobby for over 15 years and you will notice that I enjoy very much what I’m doing by my energy on the tennis court. I am also a local PTR Certified Tennis Professional with PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) and I have played for over 25 years.
I attended the Nick Bolletieri Tennis Academy during my youth and played competitively for many years. In addition, I am also a working professional with a Master’s degree in Public Health. I do consider myself an advocate of health and wellness through tennis so you will notice that I am very supportive and look out for the best interests of all of my students first. I am teaching kids & adults and really cater to the “after work” professional who enjoys tennis and is interested in playing better. I can teach anyone from a true beginner to the USTA 4.0 level. I have tons of references from students if you need them!
Lessons can be general or focus on specific strokes. During the first few sessions, we will go over the forehand, backhand, serve and the volley in depth. I pay a lot of attention to the mechanics of your basic strokes and this makes a big difference in your learning. We can also work on match play, strategy and fitness depending on your interest and skill level. I will tailor the lesson to each student and we will also move at a comfortable pace. The tennis classes are totally fun with lots of high energy and the time will go by quickly, so don’t worry! I teach tennis lessons in the North Arlington area and do not travel to other locations. I look forward to being your Arlington tennis coach!
