*I AM NOT CURRENTLY TAKING ANY NEW TENNIS STUDENTS*
Hello my name is Sandro and I am a fun, local Wyndmoor tennis coach with over 25 years of playing experience and over 5 years of coaching experience! I am Italian and was an assistant tennis coach at my club in Florence for kids and young competitive players for over three years. A few years ago, I moved to the Philadelphia area.
In 2021, I became a RSPA Certified Tennis Professional. Last winter, I worked at a local tennis club coaching young players while I also trained some other players in my area including some beginners and some more advanced players that do tournaments. I love helping all levels of players (beginners, intermediate or advanced) & it doesn’t matter if you play just for fun or if you play more competitively. I will help you improve your game, from teaching the basic tennis strokes to tactics to win matches. I love to work on both the mental/physical sides of tennis. I still have a business back in Italy & I am often away during the summers. That gives me the opportunity to play in both continents and to play on different surfaces with different tactics and skill. I enjoy playing on all different types of surfaces. Since I began living in Philadelphia, I have been playing in the 4.0 USTA league. I am currently ranked #2 in the Philadelphia district and #22 nationally for Pennsylvania. In Italy, I play in the FIT league tournament that is the equivalent of USTA and this year I qualified as a 4.3 rated player.
I play with a one-handed backhand, but I can teach two handed as well. I played a lot on clay in Italy to develop my game with a lot of spin. I love all aspects of tennis-I like that it gives me the chance to meet new people from all different places and with different skills. I am very patient and I like my tennis students to have fun during their lessons but I also like when they are happy about their improvement. Tennis is a beautiful sport-it can help you stay fit, meet new people, stay focused and have fun! I enjoy teaching the great game of tennis. I teach tennis lessons in the Wyndmoor area but I am also willing to travel up to 10 miles to a tennis court conveniently located near you!
