About Grant

Hello my name is Grant and I am a fun, local Travelers Rest tennis coach with over 17 years of playing experience and over 10 years of teaching experience! I’ve been all about tennis since the age of 10 when Andre Agassi was playing in his last US OPEN. Since then, I have gone on to be named an ITA All-American in doubles, coached multiple players with professional ranking points at both Georgia and Mississippi State, coached in an NCAA Final Four and now I have the incredible honor of coaching the women’s team at Furman University.

I have coached every age and skill level over the years from the age of 4 to 80 and love coaching this game! My experience has ranged from local park lessons to tennis academies and I’ve coached the #2 team in the country. Any time and any place, I am willing to coach the great game of tennis! I hope to help you to take your tennis game to the next level and look forward to working with the next generation of tennis players or just the weekend warrior looking to get an edge.

I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!

I teach both indoor and outdoor tennis lessons in the Travelers Rest & Greenville area at Furman University (Mickel Tennis Center) as well as any local park or high school but I will also travel up to 10 miles.

Private Tennis Lessons (1 Player): $50 Per Hour
Semi-Private Tennis Lessons (2 Players): $30 Per Hour Each
Group Tennis Lessons (3+ Players): $20 Per Hour Each
Hitting Only Sessions (1 Player): $35 Per Hour

*Please note that if you are interested in semi-private tennis lessons (2 players) or group tennis lessons (3+ players), you will first need to find a friend(s) to take tennis lessons with you before contacting me.
