About Jon
Hello my name is Jon and I am a fun, local Sherman Oaks tennis coach with over 20 years of playing experience and over 5 years of teaching experience! I grew up playing tennis in Andre Agassi’s backyard. His dad was my coach for 10 years (from age 8-18). Some of my junior accomplishments include: Ranked #1 in the Nevada (10’s-18’s), #1 in the Intermountain section (6 states in this region) in the boys 14’s and 16’s. I was top 20 in the country from the boys 12’s through the 16’s with my best national tournament finishes at the Fiesta Bowl where I placed 5th (14’s) and Inter-sectionals where I went undefeated in the boy’s 16’s. In addition, I was also selected to the Junior Olympics (boy’s 16’s). I received a full tennis scholarship to the University of Utah where I then played #5 singles as a freshman.
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!
I teach tennis lessons in the Sherman Oaks area but I will also travel up to 20 miles to a tennis court conveniently located close to you.
