Hi my name is Terrence and I am a Roswell tennis coach with over 20 years playing experience and over 8 years of teaching experience! I began playing tennis at age seven and developed my game through USTA, ALTA as well as local junior competition. In 2011, I earned a full tennis scholarship to Perimeter College, now part of Georgia State University, and later turned my playing experience into a coaching career. I have been coaching since 2013 and am the Founder and Head Coach of Emperial Tennis, where I have worked with players of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to competitive juniors, adults, ALTA players, and USTA competitors. My tennis coaching style is structured, encouraging, and focused on long-term player development rather than just simply hitting balls. I teaches proper technique, footwork, consistency, serving, returning, volleys, court positioning, point construction, singles and doubles strategy, match play, and mental toughness. New private students begin with an assessment so I can identify strengths, weaknesses, habits, and goals, then I build a personalized Performance Plan around the player’s specific needs. I have coached thousands of lessons and have also helped ALTA teams improve and advance in competition, including coaching two ladies teams to City Finals. I work with juniors who are learning the game for the first time, develop tournament players, adults returning to tennis, and recreational players who just simply want to become more confident and consistent on court. My experience as both a competitive player and longtime tennis coach allows me to explain the game in a practical way that players can immediately apply. My goal is to make every lesson purposeful, easy to understand, and directly connected to measurable improvement. I teach in the Roswell and North Atlanta area through Emperial Tennis!
