About Pleasant Hill Tennis Coach Ed
Hello my name is Ed and I am a local Pleasant Hill tennis coach with over 45 years of playing experience and over 20 years of teaching experience! With a lifelong passion for tennis, I began my journey on the courts at the age of 7. My dedication and love for the sport led me to compete in both singles and doubles tennis at Cal Berkeley, where our team earned a ranking of #3 in the NCAA. Following my collegiate career, I transitioned seamlessly into coaching, leveraging my extensive playing experience to mentor and develop professional world-ranked tennis players. I have also consistently maintained a strong regional ranking at the Men’s Open level, further solidifying my expertise on the court. For the past two decades, I have proudly served as a tennis coach in the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area.
My tennis coaching philosophy is rooted in fostering a supportive and dynamic environment that empowers players to reach their full potential. Whether just refining technical skills, honing strategic gameplay or nurturing mental resilience, I am committed to guiding each individual towards their goals with passion and professionalism. As a dedicated tennis coach with a rich background in both playing and coaching, I am excited to continue sharing my knowledge as well as my expertise to inspire the next generation of tennis enthusiasts. I teach tennis lessons in the Pleasant Hill area but I will also travel up to 15 miles to a tennis court that is conveniently located close to you!
