About Mike
Hi my name is Mike and I am a fun, local New Orleans tennis coach with over 25 years of playing experience & over 15 years of teaching experience! I am also a PTR Elite Certified Tennis Professional and have a UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) of 12.0. I am a Pittsburgh native and spent the majority of my tennis teaching career in Charleston, SC. As a former Top 50 nationally ranked D1 player, I have dedicated my life to the great game of tennis-both as a competitor and coach.
My tennis coaching journey began at the USTA (United States Tennis Association) national training center (JTCC) in College Park, Maryland where I trained alongside elite pro players like Frances Tiafoe and Dennis Kudla and learned from top coaches including Frank Salazar and Chuck Kriese. Whether I’m working with beginners or fine-tuning advanced players, I bring energy, strategic insight and a passion for helping each player reach their full potential here in New Orleans.
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!
I teach tennis lessons in the New Orleans area but I will also travel up to 20 miles to a tennis court that is conveniently located close to you.
