About Miami Tennis Coach Robert

Hello my name is Robert & I am a fun, local Miami tennis coach with over 19 years of playing experience and over 6 years of teaching experience! I am a former NCAA Division I tennis player with a great passion for helping tennis players improve through clear, structured coaching and high-energy sessions. I competed 4 years at Radford University, where the demands of Division I tennis sharpened my discipline, footwork, point construction, and ability to perform under pressure-tools I now bring to every lesson. As a player, my current hitting level is approximately 11-12 UTR, and I enjoy working as both a coach & a high-level hitting partner for athletes who want purposeful repetition and match-realistic tempo. My tennis coaching experience includes time on staff at The Sea Pines Resort Racquet Club in Hilton Head Island, where I coached tennis and pickleball, led adult and junior clinics, and delivered private lessons for a wide range of ages and skill levels. I also spent two summers as an Assistant Tennis Coach with the Hilton Head Island Tennis School, supporting daily junior programming, technical development, and match preparation for middle and high school players. In addition, I have also worked independently as a private instructor and hitting partner, focusing on building reliable fundamentals (serve, return, and also rally patterns), improving consistency under pressure, and also developing smarter decision-making in points. My coaching style is very positive, detail-oriented, and adaptable. I meet my players where they are, set clear goals, and create sessions that balance technique, movement, and competitive situations. Whether you’re just a beginner building your confidence, a junior aiming to compete, or an adult looking to level up, I’m committed to making your time on the tennis court extremely productive, challenging, and enjoyable. I teach tennis lessons in the Miami area but I will also travel up to 15 miles to a court near you!
