Hello my name is Elijah and I am a fun, local Locust Valley tennis coach with over 20 years of playing experience and over 5 years of teaching experience! I became a tennis player in 2008. In 2009, I joined varsity at my local high school for doubles. In 2010-2012, I was on the varsity singles. I’ve been in a number of USTA sanctioned tournaments and flex-leagues, and currently in the TAF ladder in Nassau County/Western Suffolk county. I’ve performed as a tennis coach for the past 5 years (since 2022), doing private, semi-private, and group lessons, for beginner, intermediate, and expert level juniors and adults. I am also a town of oyster bay tennis coach and am completing my third year with them, where I do multiple group sessions every week for beginner and intermediate level tennis players. How can I help you as your coach? Technical training for sound basics-footwork, groundstrokes, volleys, serves, singles & doubles strategy. Endurance/Cardio training-to have a winning edge in all aspects physical and mental bolstered through discipline. Mindset/Sports Psychology training. I’ve developed a system over multiple years and through countless tennis trainings to help each individual grow at their own pace in this technically demanding sport. My affinity as a tennis coach is that I have substantial tennis/athletic background, patience and analysis skills, and a flexible, but tried-and-true approach to developing players.
