About Irvine Tennis Coach Emili
Hello my name is Emili and I am a fun, local Irvine tennis coach with over 16 years of playing experience and over 5 years of teaching experience! I began playing tennis at the age of four in the South of Spain, where this great sport very quickly became a central part of my life. Growing up, I immersed myself in training and competition, dedicating countless hours to developing both my technical skills and my mental toughness. I competed regularly until the age of 16, when my focus shifted toward pursuing the opportunity of earning a tennis scholarship to continue my academic and athletic career in the United States. At that same age, I discovered a brand new passion within the sport-coaching. I started by assisting my coach with young children, helping them learn the basic fundamentals of tennis while building their confidence and love for the game. This experience sparked my interest in teaching and sharing my knowledge, and since then, I have continued to coach players of different ages and skill levels. Coaching has given me valuable insights into leadership, patience as well as communication while also reinforcing my own development as an athlete. Today, I remain both an active player and a committed coach, gaining firsthand the experience of tennis from multiple perspectives. My background has allowed me to understand not only the competitive mindset required for high-level play but also the importance of nurturing new talent and making this great sport enjoyable for beginners. With years of involvement in different roles, I bring a well-rounded perspective to this local tennis community, combining the discipline of a seasoned athlete with the dedication of a mentor. Tennis has been more than just a sport for me-it has been an satisfying lifelong journey of growth, resilience and great passion. I teach tennis lessons here in the Irvine area but I will also travel up to 20 miles to a tennis court that is conveniently located close to you!
