About Sasha
Hello my name is Sasha and I am a local Greer tennis coach with over 18 years of playing experience and over 10 years of teaching experience! I started playing tennis when I was 9 years old in my country of origin, Moldova. I quickly became #1 in my country and my parents brought me to the U.S. with aspirations to be a pro player.
In juniors, I was Top 10 in my country and had my first ATP Pro Tour point at 16 years old. I attended the University of South Florida where I contributed to our team’s success. We as a tennis team reached the highest ranking in program history (#13 in the nation). Individually, I also achieved a ranking of Top 6 in doubles as well as 46 in singles.
After graduating, I was playing full time professional tournaments and reached 1300 in singles and 600 in doubles. After playing pro, I wanted to help the next generation of players achieve their goals. I was a teaching pro at Tucker Tennis Academy which is one of the best academies in the country. I then had the opportunity to be part of college tennis and coached at a D1 school (Campbell University). Currently, I am now the Associate Head Coach at Furman University.
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!
I teach tennis lessons in the Greer area at Furman University but I will also travel up to 10 miles to a tennis court that’s located close to you.
