About Michael
Hello my name is Michael and I am a local Estero tennis coach with over 30 years of playing experience and over 20 years of teaching experience! I have been playing tennis since I was 12 and was very fortunate to have a father “Big Jim “who loved the sport. He started early with me and I soon found a passion for the competitiveness, etiquette and physical drills that helped shape me into the man I am now. I remember way back playing with my father’s tennis cronies at Anderson Hills Swim and Tennis Club in Cincinnati and then I began playing with kids my own age. I had a fantastic coach at Anderson High School where I played #2 doubles and #3 singles. Our family then moved to Thousand Oaks, California where I played #2 singles on the high school tennis team. I then moved to Florida and I still had tennis in my blood, so I began giving lessons in the sunshine state!
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!
I teach tennis lessons in the Estero, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs and Naples area at Fountain Lakes Community (Estero), Barbara Manzo Tennis Center (Fort Myers), Bonita Bay Club (Bonita Springs), Pelican Bay Community Park (Naples), Naples YMCA (Naples) and Pelican Marsh (Naples) but I will also travel up to 20 miles to a court by you.
