About Ellicott City Tennis Coach Wendy
Hello my name is Wendy and I am a fun, local Ellicott City tennis coach with over 20 years of playing experience and over 10 years of teaching experience! I have been playing tennis in the USTA (United States Tennis Association) since 2002. In addition, I am also a PTR Certified Tennis Professional (Junior Development) and received my certification back in 2012. Since then, I have provided many private tennis lessons to children, adults and I recently started group tennis lessons to children under 13. Currently, I am offering intensive private and semi-private lessons for intermediate and advanced middle/high school players. I will train you to play the USTA junior tournament at your level and then I will design a plan to move onto the next level.
My volunteer team is dedicated in creating a supportive, inclusive environment for neurodiverse athletes to thrive on the court. The Tennis Atypical offers an 8-week “Future Varsity” tennis program for only $99 throughout all of 2026. The class will be conducted at Western Regional Park on every Thursday night. This program is designed to reduce the cost of introductory lesson for children aged 6 to 10 and foster a love for tennis, physical fitness and community.

I teach tennis lessons in the Ellicott City area at Blandaire Regional Park, Centennial Park, River Hill High School and Centennial High School but I will also travel up to 15 miles to a tennis court near you. I also offer lessons in Glenwood, Clarksville, Gaithersburg & Frederick!
