About Thomas

Hello my name is Thomas and I am a local Boyds tennis coach with over 15 years of playing experience and over 3 years of teaching experience! I started playing tennis around the age of 4. Throughout my youth, I competed in USTA (United States Tennis Association) tournaments around the region as well as across the country. Most recently, I was a 4 year starter at Kenyon College (ranked in the Top 20 Division 3) playing in the top position my senior year. I have also coached over at the Montgomery TennisPlex for a few summers as both a hitter & tennis instructor there. Some of my accomplishments include Washington Post All-Metropolitan 1st Team, 3-Time NCAC First Team Singles as well as 3-Time NCAC Second Team Doubles.

I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!

I teach tennis lessons in the Boyds area at parks and schools but I will also travel up to 20 miles to a tennis court that’s located by you.

Private Tennis Lessons (1 Player): $60 Per Hour
Semi-Private Tennis Lessons (2 Players): $30 Per Hour Each
Group Tennis Lessons (3+ Players): $20 Per Hour Each
Hitting Only Sessions (1 Player): $50 Per Hour

*Please note that if you are interested in semi-private tennis lessons (2 players) or group tennis lessons (3+ players), you will first need to find a friend(s) to take tennis lessons with you before contacting me.
