About Michael

Hi my name is Michael & I am a local Baltimore tennis coach with over 15 years of playing experience and over 5 years of teaching experience! I am also a PTR Certified Tennis Professional. I have played in many ITF (International Tennis Federation) professional tournaments in different African countries and in Europe. Teaching and playing tennis is one of my biggest passions! I captained my college tennis team in Kansas before I transferred to Coppin State University which is a Division 1 school in Baltimore, Maryland. The past 3 summers I have worked at different summer camps where I taught countless tennis lessons to kids. I have also been working for the Baltimore Tennis Patron where I teach kids, teens and adults.

Seeing players fall in love with the great game of tennis and make progress is very satisfying for me. I am committed to understanding what a player’s unique goals are, then formulating and implementing a plan to achieve them. I’ve taught ages 3 to 90 and all skill levels, so I understand the great importance of tailoring my tennis instruction to everyone in order to offer the best experience possible out on the tennis court. If you take tennis lessons with me, you will not regret it!

I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!

I teach tennis lessons in the Baltimore area at parks, schools, private clubs and rental indoor facilities but I will also travel up to 30 miles.
