Memphis, Tennessee is the home of the only private tennis club in the world to host a professional ATP men’s indoor tennis event. The Racquet Club of Memphis is extremely proud to be the host of the Memphis Open which was founded back in the year 1975.

Over the years the Memphis Open has counted for a total of nine ATP year end #1 players that include tennis legends such as Bjorn Borg, Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe, Andre Agassi, Ivan Lendl, Stefan Edberg, Jim Courier, Pete Sampras and Andy Roddick.

The Memphis Tennis Association has been serving the fun tennis community of Memphis since 1952 to promote and to develop the wonderful game of tennis. This organization is also the host of the Memphis Cup Tennis Tournament that is sanctioned by the USTA. The Memphis Tennis Association continues to welcome players at any age to join the effort to grow the sport of tennis in the area.

The city of Memphis offers both indoor and outdoor tennis courts that are open to the public and available to start or improve your game.
