Hello my name is David and I am a fun Bethesda tennis coach with over 50 years of playing experience and over 40 years of teaching experience! I am also a local RSPA Certified Tennis Professional and PTR Certified Tennis Professional. I am a frequent guest speaker at international/national/regional coaches conferences with expertise in programming, infrastructure and also tennis-specific fitness training.
I served on the original Cardio Tennis National Speaker Team and on the executive board for seven years. I have competed at the national level for over 30 years and I have held numerous national rankings from juniors to the master divisions. I coached on the WTA Pro Tour for 3 years with Top 10 world ranked Barbara Potter (#8 singles & #2
doubles). Several years I was the Director of Performance Training & Master Tennis Professional at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy (NYC) before moving back to DC. I was a USTA Mid-Atlantic junior travel tennis coach (my 14 and under boys and girls team won the 2016 East Coast Zonal Championships). My team included future US OPEN junior singles and also doubles champion, Robin Montgomery. In addition to teaching tennis, I also teach pickleball locally as well.
