About Sam

Hello my name is Sam and I am a local Van Nuys tennis coach with over 9 years of playing experience and over 3 years of teaching experience! Teaching tennis has been a passion of mine for a while. My coach became a major figure in my life in shaping a lot more than my tennis game and I aim to do the same for anyone kind enough to consider me for the role. I like bringing smiles and laughter on the court in any way I can. If there’s a way to make the process fun for you, we’ll figure it out! I have experience coaching all levels and ages and have client-specific curriculums. Many of my tennis students are successful in USTA (United States Tennis Association) tournaments. I was a team tennis champion, played #1 singles on my high school varsity tennis team and I also won multiple USTA championships.

I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!

I teach lessons most heavily in the Van Nuys area at Hazeltine Park (Sherman Oaks), in West Hollywood at Poinsettia and Plummer Park (Los Angeles) and occasionally at the Westwood Tennis Center (LA).
