About Tucker

Hello my name is Tucker and I am a local Takoma Park tennis coach with over 17 years of playing experience & over 10 years of teaching experience! I am also currently working towards becoming a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional by 12/21/21. I played high school tennis, competed in USTA 4.5 tournaments and I’m now currently a full-time independent tennis coach. I enjoy mainly teaching intermediate to advanced adults by improving their fitness on the court and match readiness. I’m a very good technical coach. I like making small and easy-to-understand adjustments to player’s games while keeping it fun! I’ve taught kids and completed the 10 & under USPTA program.

I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!

I teach tennis lessons in the Takoma Park area over at Takoma DC Recreation Center, Thomas Edison High, Wheaton Regional Park, Westmoreland Hills Local Park, North Chevy Chase Local Park, Cabin John Local Park, Sligo (Dale Drive Tennis Courts), Turkey Thicket Recreation Center, Montrose Park, Georgetown and Rose Park but I am willing to travel up to 15 miles to a tennis court located near you.
