About Kevin

Hello my name is Kevin and I am a local Sarasota tennis coach with over 43 years of playing experience and over 35 years of teaching experience! I am also a USPTA Elite Certified Tennis Professional. I have experience teaching and coaching players from beginners to world ranked touring professionals. I enjoy teaching 2 year old kids, high performance juniors, ladies 3.5 USTA teams or the men’s senior league players all just the same. I love the variety of all ages & levels.

My playing experience includes USTA junior tennis, three high school state championships & attending Division 1 Towson State University on a full scholarship. I played #1 singles and doubles, captained the tennis team and majored in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport Psychology and received a certificate in Coaching. In addition, I also played professionally off and on over the next 5 years and a sizable portion of my teaching career has been in the private country club industry. I have served as the Director of Tennis and Athletics at the River Hills Country Club (Tampa, FL), Director of Racquet Sports at the Philadelphia Cricket Club (PA), the Director of Tennis at the West Shore Country Club (Camp Hill, PA) & Lloyd Neck Bath Club (LI, NY).

Most recently, I founded the 501c (3) non-profit organization called SERVING DREAMS® 4 Kids. Our mission is to equip children with the skills necessary to build strong mind, body, spirit, and soul. We use tennis to teach life skills, character, resilience, and to educate the mind and the soul. I genuinely love this sport and believe it has the potential to change lives for the better as it has done for me. Seeing someone’s eyes light-up when things “click”, then seeing them share my passion for this great lifetime sport is tremendously rewarding. I am committed to pursuing your unique goals, motivations, and also your desires. Then, together we formulate and implement a plan to achieve these goals. My lessons are informative, insightful, upbeat, sometimes entertaining, but we will always have FUN out on court!

I teach tennis lessons in the Sarasota and Bradenton area but I will also travel up to 10 miles to a tennis court conveniently close to you.
