About Salisbury Tennis Coach Edgar
Hi my name is Edgar and I’m a Salisbury tennis coach with over 45 years of playing experience and over 30 years teaching experience! I offer private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons or hitting only sessions in the Salisbury, Connecticut area for kids, teens, adults and seniors. In more than 30 years of coaching, I also have experience in practically every area of the industry: college coaching, high school coaching, country club teaching and directing, private coaching, academy coaching, junior development coaching and professional tour coaching, which has allowed me to effectively coach and teach players of all ages/levels the great game of tennis.
I was a highly ranked junior in Mexico and played for the University of Texas where I completed an undergraduate degree in business and a graduate degree in exercise physiology. I started my tennis coaching career as an assistant coach for the University of Texas and have been coaching high performance players for the last 25 years.
I was a national tennis coach for the USA, Germany and Mexico and a partner in 2 major tennis academies: International Tennis Academy in Florida and Centro Mextenis back in Mexico. I have been a guest speaker at many national & international coaches conventions, I am the author of “Developing High Performance Tennis Players” and I am also an international consultant for TennisGate. I mainly do my teaching here in Salisbury, but I am willing to travel up to 25 miles!
