Hey, how’s it going there! Been feeling a little out of shape lately? Want to get more exercise playing a fun and fast paced sport? Or maybe it’s time to pick up a new hobby, or perhaps give your little ones an awesome opportunity to develop a new skill on the court!
My name is Coach David and I am a Palo Alto tennis coach who has devoted my life-long passion for tennis to locals of all ages who would like to learn the basics, or even more advanced techniques of tennis. Tennis has allowed me a tremendous amount of happiness and life satisfaction, which is the reason I am so passionate about teaching others tennis! I am a very young minded, fun & extremely passionate individual who loves connecting with people of all kinds!
My background in tennis began by taking group and private lessons around age eight after which I continued by going to summer tennis camps and playing tournaments up till high school, where I played all 4 years on the varsity tennis team as the #1 seed and team captain. My passion continued throughout college, which has led me to focus on coaching tennis. I continue to improve my coaching education by watching videos, reading and talking to other coaches to stay on top of new techniques and advancements. In my coaching, I realize that all people are very dynamic individuals with very different needs and different desires for playing, which is why I design a unique lesson plan for each client to maximize results & improve your skills QUICK!
The areas I cover include:
-Groundstrokes (forehand & backhand)
-Serve (slice, spin, flat, etc.)
-Basics (footwork, mechanics, placement, positioning, etc.)
-Psychology & strategy (results through effective, efficient thinking and movement)
-Digital (photo & video stroke analysis upon request)
-Off court training (off-the-court advice aimed at improving your game)
Additionally, my services will focus on the following aspects as well:
* Physical: Conditioning, speed, agility, strength, nutrition, flexibility, injury avoidance
* Technical: Tracking skills, racquet skills, shot fundamentals, ball control, movement, footwork, modern shot technique, game style
* Tactical: Consistency, placement, pattern, spins, power, shot selection, competitive situation
* Strategic: Repetition, game style, match situation, tournament situation
* Mental: Confidence, mental toughness, goals, sportsmanship, temperament, confidence
As your Palo Alto tennis coach, my rates are as follows:
Private Tennis Lessons (1 Player): $80 Per Hour
Semi-Private Tennis Lessons (2 Players): $60 Per Hour Each
Group Tennis Lessons (3+ Players): $45 Per Hour Each
Hitting Only Sessions (1 Player): $60 Per Hour
Teaches All Ages & All Skill Levels!
If you bring a referral, I will take 50% off. I do have a 1.5 hour minimum since 1 hour is usually not enough time to get into the proper technique after warming up. This will make it worthwhile for both parties so that we utilize our meeting as much as possible.
I teach tennis lessons locally in the greater Palo Alto area and I’m willing to travel up to 15 miles to a tennis court that is located by you.
Please contact me through my FindTennisLessons.com coach page and then I will contact you back within 24 hours to introduce myself, answer any questions and if you are interested, we’ll set-up your first tennis lesson or hitting session at a time and place that is convenient for you. I look forward to hearing from you and I look forward to the opportunity to be your Palo Alto tennis coach-see you on the court!
*Please note that if you are interested in semi-private tennis lessons (2 players) or group tennis lessons (3+ players), you will first need to find a friend(s) to take tennis lessons with you before contacting me.
