About John

Hello my name is John and I am a local Orlando tennis coach with over 43 years of playing experience and over 23 years of teaching experience! I am also a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional. I was consistently ranked amongst the top players in the USTA Florida section throughout my junior career in all respective age divisions.

My 23 years of coaching experience includes working with several nationally top ranked juniors, USTA program facilitation and a deep background in the USTA’s 10 and under QuickStart program. I have taught the great game of tennis all over Florida and I am currently the Director of Tennis for the City of Kissimmee Parks & Recreation.

I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!

I teach tennis lessons in the Kissimmee area at Oak Street Tennis Complex, Lakeside Tennis Courts, St Cloud Tennis Courts, Lee Vista Tennis Courts and Stoneybrook East/West Tennis Courts but will also travel up to 10 miles to a court that’s conveniently located near you.

Please contact me through my FindTennisLessons.com coach page and then I will contact you back within 24 hours to introduce myself, answer any questions and if you are interested, we’ll set-up your first tennis lesson or hitting session at a time and place that is convenient for you. I look forward to hearing from you and I look forward to the opportunity to be your Orlando tennis coach. See you on the court!

Testimonials

"Coach John is super with students of any level and ability. He is patient and kind, while still challenging students to improve. I've never seen him yell or be angry or impatient with any student. My son, who loves tennis, has grown and improved much over the past several years working with Coach John. My daughter and I, who are very non-athletic, took lessons for 2 years. Even though my daughter never really wants to do anything active or sweat-inducing, she was always laughing and having fun by the end of each class. John has a remarkable ability to work with kids at a wide variety of levels, even within the same class, challenging the ones who are more advanced while keeping it simple for the ones who are not. We all love Coach John and highly recommend him for private or group lessons!"

Testimonials

"Coach John is incredibly kind, passionate, friendly, patient, and it was a sincere pleasure meeting him today. I recently moved down to the Florida area, so it has been a while since I had the opportunity to stay consistent with the game. He took time to walk me through every aspect of our session in a step-by-step approach (which meant a lot as I am both a kinesthetic and visual learner) showing me proper foot placement, raquet position, grip, etc. and always asked me if I had any questions. I learned so much in my first session, and I look forward to my future sessions with Coach John!"

"Coach John has made an amazing impact on my son's ability to understand the game. He is always enthusiastic to ensure he maximizes learning during his lesson. Coach John has definitely displayed patience, empathy, humor and sound technical knowledge when coaching my son. The experience has been nothing short of amazing and we look forward to more lessons when we visit Orlando again-thanks Coach!"
