Hello my name is Will and I am a local Nashville tennis coach with over 15 years of playing experience and over 8 years of teaching experience! Tennis has been a central part of my life both as a player and coach. I competed collegiately over at Eastern Illinois University (Division I) and later over at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, a nationally ranked Top 10 Division III program. At Whitewater, I served as team captain and helped lead the team to the highest national ranking in school history. While competing in college, I also gained valuable coaching experience. I coached at a top tennis academy in Tampa, Florida and worked with junior tennis players on technique, footwork, and match strategy. I also coached at the Oyster Harbors Club on Cape Cod, Massachusetts and provided tennis lessons to both juniors and adults in private one-on-one and group settings.
I enjoy the balance between the technical & strategic sides of the game-helping players develop solid fundamentals while learning how to think & compete effectively on the tennis court. I am currently completing my Master’s in Finance at Vanderbilt University, where I continue to stay involved in tennis. My goal as a local tennis coach here in Nashville is simple: to help every player have fun, improve their skills, and develop a lifelong love for the game out on the court. I teach tennis lessons in the Nashville area but I will also travel up to 10 miles to a tennis court that is conveniently located close to you!
