About Hicham

Hello my name is Hicham and I’m a Los Angeles tennis coach with over 20 years of playing experience and over 8 years of teaching experience! I just moved to LA from NYC where I coached for about two years at Manhattan Racquet Plaza. Prior to that, I was a college player at Temple University and later on a graduate assistant coach for the same school. I have experience in teaching kids and juniors, adult beginners & intermediate players as well as sparring with a few pros before major tournaments. I make the sessions fun and work on technique, agility & footwork depending on the need of my students.

I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!

I teach tennis lessons in the Los Angeles area at various outdoor locations and I will travel up to 15 miles to a tennis court near you.

Please contact me through my coach page and then I will contact you back within 24 hours to introduce myself, answer any questions and if you are interested, we’ll set-up your first tennis lesson or hitting session at a time and place that is convenient for you. I look forward to hearing from you and I look forward to the opportunity to be your Los Angeles tennis coach. See you on court!

"Coach Hicham is my current tennis instructor and I am always excited to step on the court with him! He is really patient and I am saying this because I was a real beginner when I first started taking lessons with him-but he knew exactly what I had to learn in order to improve. His experience/level gave him the ability to learn the right techniques of tennis and I am grateful today that he's teaching me all his techniques. I enjoy the game a lot more now that I know how to hit the ball and somewhat be consistent. Also, on a human level, Hicham is a very kind and easy going person. His good mood is contagious-I can tell that he has a real passion for tennis and that he's happy to share it with others. I highly recommend Hicham as a tennis instructor, it's a real pleasure meeting with him on the court after a long stressful day at work!"

"Hicham is an incredible coach, full stop! I played tennis competitively when I was younger and I wanted to pick up the game again. However, I haven’t really played consistently (at my former level) for over a decade so I sought out help to get my skills back. After going through a few coaches in New York, I luckily met Coach Hicham through a recommendation. On our first lesson, he was able to quickly identify all the lazy habits I needed to unlearn from playing sporadically & recreationally over the years. So we went about fixing them...but it wasn’t that easy. It felt like starting from scratch because as the old adage goes, old habits die hard. But his knowledge of the game and positive disposition helped me get through the awkward phases of trying to get better. Most importantly, Hicham’s passion for tennis reignited my love for the game too!"
