About Ekaterina

Hello my name is Ekaterina! I am a local Lawndale tennis coach with over 16 years of teaching experience and I competed professionally for 10 years from juniors to the pro level. As a young athlete, I had an opportunity to be coached by some of the best coaches in the world of my generation. One of them was Larisa Preobrajenskaya (coach of Anna Kurnikova-she ran The Spartak Tennis School (Moscow) and is known as “The Mother of Russian Tennis”. Additionally, I was trained by Alexander Bogomolov (he is the father of Alexander Bogomolov Jr. who was a successful U.S. player). My best results were victories on the ITF tournaments in singles and doubles. I finished my career early and I then started to study to become a tennis coach. I finished RGUFK (russian goverment university of physical education & sport).

I worked as a tennis coach in Russia for 13 years. I have completed refresher courses for working with children under 10 years of age (10s program). I have also taken certified courses from the Russian Tennis Federation for the preparation of tennis players up to 14 years old. While working as a coach, I created a tennis school. In my school there were groups for children from 3 years old. Each age group had its own characteristics in the training process and with an individual approach. Children were divided by age and level of training. There were also groups for both adults as well as amateur players. Among my students, there have been many victories in the local children’s competitions and also at the international level. For the last 3 years I have resumed my professional career and also started playing some beach tennis. My top ranking was #22 in the world. I am a current member of the Russian national team and I also teach beach tennis.

I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!

I teach tennis lessons in the Lawndale area at Anderson Park but I’m also willing to travel up to 10 miles to a tennis court located near you.

Please contact me through my FindTennisLessons.com coach page and then I will contact you back within 24 hours to introduce myself, answer any questions and if you are interested, we’ll set-up your first tennis lesson or hitting session at a time and place that is convenient for you. I look forward to hearing from you and I look forward to the opportunity to be your Lawndale tennis coach. See you on the court!

Testimonials

"I have been training with Kata since March 2020. Started with her zoom workouts and now also doing her beach tennis lessons. Kata is a devoted coach that genuinely wants to help her students get better. She’s on time, organized, prepared and focused. I like how she takes time to prepare her lessons to come up with the best exercises or drills to achieve the goals for the session. She’s also very good at keeping the group moving along. If you want to improve your game, you are in good hands with Kata!"
