About Regina
Hi my name is Regina and I am a local Houston tennis coach with over 23 years of playing experience and over 9 years of teaching experience! I am also a PTR Certified Tennis Professional. I am from Ukraine and started my tennis journey when I was 5 years old. Prior to playing collegiately, I used to be a pro junior player, participating in ITF and WTA tournaments. When I turned 17, life brought me to the U.S. to play tennis and get a college degree. I chose Southeastern Louisiana University program in 2012 and played #1 line in singles and doubles for 2 years. I became Southeastern Conference Singles Champion my first year playing for SELU. I then transferred to East Tennessee State University to finish my degree in Health & Public Administration. I played line #1 singles and doubles and was voted 2015 all conference first team and won the 2016 Conference Singles Championship. I was a deans list student for both 2015 & 2016 and received the 2015-2016 ETSU Academy Award and was Honor Roll for conference in 2016. After graduating from ETSU, I then decided to become a tennis coach. I love coaching tennis because my father coached me as a young player and I had a such a great experience and wanted to bring my passion and skills to other players. I believe that playing tennis (and sports in general) not only builds character and confidence but it also gives a great sense of accomplishment.
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!
I teach tennis lessons in the Houston area over at Tanglewood Park, Grady Park, Houston Country Club and Briar Club but I will also travel up to 5 miles to a tennis court that is conveniently located near you.
