Hello my name is Bo and I am a local Hampstead tennis coach with over 40 years of playing experience and over 25 years of teaching experience! I am also a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional & PTR Certified Tennis Professional as well as a Net Generation Certified Tennis Coach and a Safe Play Certified Tennis Coach. I recently moved from Arizona where I had 96 students at our BODE Tennis Academy that was built from scratch from 2019-2023. In addition, I coached tennis at the Genesis Health Clubs in Missouri for 10 years.

I have been playing tennis since I was 9 years old and played my high school tennis in Sterling, Kansas where I went 26-1 my senior year. I then played my college tennis at Fort Hays University in Hays, Kansas. I loved playing tennis in college and had some of the most memorable matches in my life. I have coached thousands of kiddos over the years. Many went on to play college and a few students ended up earning their pro certifications and are currently coaching in Kansas City, Missouri. I am old school and teach the most modern techniques. My favorite stroke to teach is the serve and the serve return. If you can’t master these strokes in tennis, you will not win!

I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for most all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!

I teach tennis lessons in the Hampstead and Wilmington area but I will also travel up to 10 miles to a tennis court that is close to you.
