About Edgewater Tennis Coach Linda
Hi, my name is Linda and I am a fun, local Edgewater tennis coach with over 3 years of teaching experience! I am also a RSPA Certified Tennis Professional and USTA Safe Play Certified Tennis Coach. I’ve been playing the great game of tennis for more than 25 years now & loved it so much, that I quit my day job and then entered the world of tennis coaching three years ago. In those three years, I’ve managed an adult and junior tennis program including classes & drills, started a non-profit to help make tennis accessible to those in underserved communities, coordinated a metropolitan area JTT tennis league and shared my love for tennis in the Little Rock, Arkansas area. I moved to Port Orange, Florida back in 2022 and I plan to continue sharing the great sport of tennis with anyone & everyone who wants to play!
I have a passion for teaching both beginner & intermediate players. The best part of my day is when that lightbulb turns on and I know something has clicked. I love celebrating the seemingly small steps that make a person a better player and enjoy working with them to continue on a successful tennis journey. I understand that success is different for every person on the court, so I know the importance of working with each person on an individual level, whether it’s during a private lesson, semi-private lesson, group lesson or hitting session.
I’ve held tennis classes or drills with up to 16 people and as little as 1 person, camps for both juniors & adults, multi-week beginner tennis programs, hitting sessions and practice match play. I have captained adult teams, coached junior teams & coordinated countless leagues. I have several tennis events under my belt and I have worked tennis tournaments. I’ve worked with ages 3-90 and really pride myself on understanding how the body works, how to prevent injuries and how to improve a player with unique physical or mental circumstances. I also play recreational tennis, which gives me a great understanding of what my adult students just might be looking for in their lessons.
I offer tennis classes, team or group lessons and drills, private and semi-private lessons, camps, hitting sessions, strategy sessions and video analysis. Whether you need to just learn how to hit a ball over the net or to perfect your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles or doubles strategy, I can help. I’d love to be a part of your and/or your child’s tennis journey. I teach tennis lessons in the Edgewater area, but will travel up to 10 miles to a court near you depending on my schedule!
