About Erik

Hello my name is Erik and I am a local Chula Vista tennis coach with over 20 years of playing experience and over 10 years of teaching experience! I have been playing competitive tennis for over 17 years.
After completing my high school playing career as a top player in Washington State, I have transitioned into coaching tennis camps and clinics on the west coast. I’m currently the head boys’ and girls’ tennis coach at a local San Diego high school. I also have experience coaching beginners who are playing for the first time all the way up to advanced teens moving up the junior ranks. I am excited to be a part of your tennis journey. I will always adapt to a player’s needs and what aspects of their tennis game they would like to improve.
I feel that having the foundation of proper footwork, grip and swing technique are integral to a player’s progress. Beyond the basics, I am skilled in teaching players how to improve their match play through strategy and point structure. I like to teach by combining drills with fun, competitive games on court as your Chula Vista tennis coach.
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). I teach tennis lessons at parks throughout the Chula Vista area but don’t travel to other locations for tennis lessons at this time.

Private Tennis Lessons (1 Player): $50 Per Hour
Semi-Private Tennis Lessons (2 Players): $30 Per Hour Each
Group Tennis Lessons (3+ Players): $25 Per Hour Each
Hitting Only Sessions (1 Player): Not Available

*Please note that if you are interested in semi-private tennis lessons (2 players) or group tennis lessons (3+ players), you will first need to find a friend(s) to take tennis lessons with you before contacting me.
