Hi my name is Danny and I’m a local Chula Vista tennis coach with over 18 years of playing experience and over 10 years of teaching experience! I grew up being involved in just about every possible sport imaginable and draw on my knowledge of experiences from other sports to help improve your athletic ability or body coordination in regards to tennis. I have played at the collegiate level, coached at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club and still participate in tournaments.
I would like to change your mindset from thinking about racquet technique to thinking about fundamental questions for tennis: Why are the hips and feet important? Why does the swing feel good some days and not other days? How do I need to move to hit the ball I want to hit? What does my body need to do to swing a tennis racquet? I want you to understand why the swing feels effortless as a result of your weight transfer, hip rotation and footwork so that your mental energy in the game can be directed to strategy and not your racquet. I teach tennis lessons throughout the San Diego area but I will also travel up to 30 miles to a tennis court conveniently located near you!
