About Josh

Hello my name is Josh and I’m a local Sherman Oaks tennis coach with over 40 years of playing experience as well as over 15 years of teaching experience! In addition, I’m a USPTA Certified Recreational Coach and currently have a USTA (United States Tennis Association) Rating of 5.0. I played collegiate tennis at Allan Hancock College and Sonoma State University. I was the High School Boys Varsity Head Coach at the Santa Maria High School from 1999-2000 and a Tennis Professional at the Scott Valley Swim & Tennis Club from 2014-2018.

I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I am more than happy to help!

I teach tennis lessons in Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys, Studio City, North Hollywood and Northridge but I will also travel up to 15 miles to you.
